I still have the old nintendo. My mom had it before I was even born. And I'm 16. So I guess my nintendo is a fighter. Hasn't broken yet.

I'm from the PS1 and Gameboy generation and I understand this so well. No kids alive now understand the concept of repairing your console to play. Nowadays kids are so bratty, a dent on a 3DS or Switch will make em say. "Can we get a new one". It costs 3 times as much to get a game console than it was back then. It's also easier to fix them since you can buy replacement parts and watch USlocals guides for it now. But kids don't get it anymore. Sometimes you wonder if kids are getting smarter now or did we raise a generation that's too dependant on us?

a lot people seeing this about to act like they know the gaming industry all of a sudden, well im here to tell you, you don't. the gaming industry is now, consoles like the wii cant keep up with games coming out now. also be happy $60 is the base price, the cost to make games has gone up, like a lot.

I've always been behind when it comes to video games. When the original PlayStation came out, we had an SNES. Got said PlayStation about a year after PS2 came out, so on and so forth. I know for a fact that I'm not getting a PS5 until at least 2022. Hell, I consider myself lucky to be getting my hands on a Quest 2 by next month! When I found one available, I felt like I won the lottery... that I paid three hundred bucks for!

I call BS, my NES worked for at least 10 years straight, and the entire family played the fuck out of it. Same thing with SNES and N64, they are literal tanks compare to today's fragile consoles. They even outlive the CRT TV. My parents soccer kicked the console because I gamed too much, and the thing still works years later. Try that on a Wii, I dare you.
